These were taken by Ace back in 1982 or so. The band is T.O.C.

Here's some updated names for this photo set.

acescans020 That's a young Sothira from Crucifix in the audience just to the right of the mike stand. I believe the blonde girl on the right might be girl named Jenny.

"Orlando, rick, ? " That's actually not Orlando but a skater named Pierre in the doorway with his hands up. This guys was at tons of On Broadway shows back in the day.

?, Mike, Black, ?, ? : that's Barry form Christ on Parade on the far right (now of the Hellbillys)

Acescans021 : again that's Sothira from Crucifix and I believe the guy in the left hand corner is also from crucifix or possibly PLH

acescans175 & acescans173 again that's Sothia in the front row

    Jerry

Thanks for the photos. It's great seing the pics of the On Broadway. As the years go by I start to forget the interiors, and it's great to refresh my memory.

hey carey...sorry things have been really chaotic in my life but i have been meaning to thank you for the cool XTC pin!!!

oddly enough, i seem to have a very clear memory of the interior of the OB and the mab...perhaps because that was before i got into drinking, though admittedly that did come quite a bit later. i was always more concerned about 'looking out' and staying alive on the streets than getting obliterated...it was after i had places to stay i got into the partying, more around the farm days when i lived two blocks from the farm and volunteered there for 4 years.

pierre was (probably still is) a great guy. always very considerate and sweet. he dated one of my friends back in berkeley '81, the year i learned to skate and us 'sluts palace' girls formed 'team lame.' i was the mascot: victim of gravity.

ok disclaimer about slut's palace: i wasn't a slut!!!! actually everyone had boyfriends; the twins dated orlandox and josh, i think i very briefly hung out with rob noxious...

          mmmm coffee! i am ranting!

I have visions of the interior of The Sound of Music from reading this thread. And that basement at the Tool + Die!

Unfotunately I missed the Deaf Club because a combination of living in North Beach (slept in my fathers glassed in back porch, funny thing is sometimes I wouldn't see him for months and my brief insanity where I joined the Navy then got my ass kicked out 2 years into a four year enlistment.. I did go to clubs in San Diego, LA, Seattle, Tokyo, Hong Kong. Just had to sneak my Punk attire off the ship and change in a public restrooms....

Oh I remember plenty of both the inside of the On Broadway and the Mab. OB was my fav by far! I remember the balcony at the OB... that was cool. Of course living in the Squat down the street was also cool.. same similar old theater Feeling..
